I was a little reluctant at first. I am very cynical with respect to most games, finding the hype always out-shines the actual game.
After working through the usual tedium of basic training and cut scenes, it was time to start taking out the bad guys. Controls are very smooth which coupled with the very lenient learning curve, make for a very enjoyable game.
You can pretty much play as you decide. Take the role of captain and let you men do all the work for you or go for glory and take out all of the bad guys yourself - which is quite satisfying and gives you some extra achievement points.
The graphics are a huge step-up from the first game although I can only base this on screenshots I have seen. Where this game really shines is on the multiplayer front. Playing over live is a hugely entertaining experience. Team up with some friends, choose weapons, brush over any kind of strategy and then get to work.
There should be enough guns, explosives, machinery and carnage in this game to satisfy many gamers. Being able to start a level and chose your strategy is quite refreshing. Slow, steady and methodical killings are just as satisfying as running at the enemy and firing wildly!
