I have a xbox 360,wii and PS3. Mostly i play on xbox 360 2nd most wii and i play least on my PS3. Why? cos its not fun i find that games realeased on ps3 and xbox are the same even though the PS3 cost more and uses stupid bluray which i dont need in a game system. The ps3 60gb plays ps2 but through hdmi it looks like crap. I would sell my ps3 but the exclusive games even though there are only a few while xbox has many the ps3 exclusives i like more than xbox exclusives. And PSN is just so unfair to people not in america the ps1 games downloads great but in the US crash bandicoot 2 and all 3 original spyros are out but in the UK there not WTH. And you know when you try to play a game online and you need to update it the updates take forever!!!! On xbox it takes like 20secs to update a game and the xbox doesnt have much system updates. The PS3 has a system update like every 2 weeks and game updates can take between 2mins and 2hours. The PS3 has a web browser which crashes all the time.... Read More

The Playstation 3 is probably the best all round console on the market. Sure, they don't have certain button bashing exclusives like Gears of war or Halo. But the Playstation would put the noisy Xbox to shame, with a built in blu-ray player. The visuals are absolutely stunning, and it has developed Playstation network (PSN), which is not as efficient as its counterpart Xbox live. The controllers also feature some motion control, which goes a little bit further into immersing you into a game. Overall, I think the PS3 is for those more media minded, and the Xbox 360 for hard core gamers.

Sony has clearly put a lot of effort into the PS3, the graphics are stunning!

The online network (PSN) is not as good as Microsoft's Xbox Live, but it still functions as it should do and you will have no problem finding a game. The downside to owning a PS3 is that some games such as Halo and Gears of war 2 are exclusive the the Xbox 360, although recently playstation have released a couple of exclusives of their own, resistance 2 and Grand Turismo.

The PS3 has a Blu-Ray player which is better than that of the Xbox's, which allows you to play Blu-Ray films of which the quality is brilliant. I must also state that the Blu-Ray disk's can take more scratches before they stop working.

The controller the PS3 controller fits snug in your hand it is surprisingly very light.

Memory-The standard PS3's come with 40,60 and 80gb hard drives but this isn't a problem because now if you want a bigger hard drive you can buy one up to the size of 500gb!

Compared to the Xbox 360 they are both very similar although the PS3 is in my opinion superior.

The gameplay on both consoles is brilliant but the best idea would be to get the console your firends are getting because this helps with the online.
