Initially I was a little dissapointed with Bad Company... after playing Battlefield over the years on the PC I was hoping for more of the same...but the Gold Rush mode just didnt do it for me. I thought it was way too streamlined to be of the Battlefield genre - too much intense, linear game play that didnt really give you much choice for strategy or squad play. However, now the classic Conquest mode has landed on the scene my opinion has changed and my hours gaming has increased. This is what Battlefield has always been about - freedom to do what you want to do - not to be told whether you must attack or defend! And the whole destructive environment adds a whole new exciting dimension to the gameplay. Squad play has improved but not massively - you dont get to choose your squad and there is no communication, be it voice or message comms. Theres still big room for improvement but hopefully these points will be addressed in further updates/releases. With dedicated no lag servers,... Read More

great game! the single player missions were good, it was fun playing, had a good story, but i felt it didnt take very long to complete. then i played the multiplayer online, if you've had any of the battlefield series on the pc then you'll know how great this is already. the online stuff is fantastic. can play it for hours at a time, plenty of intense action, loads of players, good maps with good selection of weapons and vehicles. like all battlefields also has lots of weapon unlocks and promotions to achieve. new conquest mode is out soon for the more orginal battlefield online experience. probably the game isnt really worth getting just for the single player games. historically the rest of the series dont even have single player options. but if you like your gaming online then is worth getting

I have played games like call of duty 4 and halo 3 but this game is truly a next-gen game due to the fact that 90% of the environment is destructible. The game has a nice variety of weapons to use and the characters are well balanced. The good thing about this game compared to call of duty 4 is that you can use vehicles and helicopters. The maps are huge compared to most FPS games and the game has a mode called Gold Rush. It is a attack and defend situation where the defenders try to defend the 2 crates of gold from the attackers. The attackers need to destroy it by just shooting it or planting a bomb on it. The bad points about this game is that it does not have Conquest mode but will be coming out as a free download this year hopefully. Also contains a solid single player for people to get used to the controls and weapons to use.
