E3 Expo Highlights
If this year’s dazzling Electronic Entertainment Expo showed us anything, it’s that the games industry is taking the recession in its stride and its set to stun, giving us even more reasons to open our purses, let out the moths and get spending!
Here are a few of our favourite highlights...
Xbox 360 Natal
Watch out Nintendo Wii, there’s a new kid on the block!
| It’s bad news for Nintendo as Microsoft is set to burst the Wii bubble with its new motion-sensing game Natal. This Mind-blowing and innovative system has astounded industry experts and is predicted to change the face of gaming forever. So what’s it all about? Unlike the Wii, where you have to use a Controller, Natal is completely hands free, it lets you play the game with your whole body; it can read the smallest of movements, recognise your features, and even spot changes in your tone of voice. Natal is more physical than the Wii and unlike anything you have played before. For example, when playing a racing game, you would step forward, put your foot on the invisible pedal, make a steering wheel shape with your hands and drive. The accuracy is unbelievable, driving, fighting and shooting games are about to take on a whole new dimension...watch this space! |

Left 4 Dead 2
Audiences were shocked and delighted when it was announced that the sequel to the Xbox 360 Zombie Shooter, Left For Dead, will be released barely a year after its original release – bring it on!
Wii Vitality Sensor
Move over balance boards and controllers, because Nintendo’s next gadget is the Vitality Sensor clip. This sensor is all about tapping into your inner gamer, you attach it to your fingertip and it gives you information about your body and vitals, making it very useful for meditation and relaxation games.
Agent
Rockstar, the developers behind the global-hit Grand Theft Auto franchise have announced that they will be releasing ‘Agent’, a PS3 exclusive assassin game set during the cold war. So far the developers are keeping tight lipped about the games details, but if it’s anything like GTA it’s be pulsating with action – the suspense is killing us!
