The game is an improvement to guitar hero world tour and the four previous guitar hero games which feature on this best of. This is because of the improved gameplay including a score star meter which tells you how many stars you are achieving at a particular which makes it easier to see how close you are to the level higher. Also, they are all original recordings and therefore add to the the experience. Another feature which has been improved is the rock star creator which now allows you to change plenty of facial features which you couldn't on world tour which did make gh fans frustrated. Obviously the song choice is excellent and features a huge variety of genres however I did wish they had iron man or sweet child of mine included. There is no downloadable content available as yet which is disappointing but you wouldn't expect a best of to include downloadable content. Online play is similar to world tour and with the addition of the double bass pedals for drums it makes it even better for hardcore drummers. I would give this a 5 star and would rate higher than guitar hero 3 which was my favourite guitar hero because you do not have to play the songs in order. This is because the game incorporates an amount of stars which you have to achieve rather than how many songs you have to complete which makes it easier for players to progress.
